Lift up your hands... again! Back by popular demand, it’s the award-winning, groundbreaking smash hit musical that rocked the Gladstone last April! Don’t miss this special encore performance! Funny and touching, outrageous and inspiring, see the show theatre critic Alvina Ruprecht called, "the theatre event of the season"!
Hedwig and the Angry Inch follows the journey of "internationally ignored" East German rock-goddess Hedwig Schmidt on a gender-bending quest for "The Origin Of Love", after a botched sex change operation raises questions about identity and individuality. This powerful and thought-provoking rock musical will prove that "to be free, one must give up a little part of oneself."

The Reviews:
“The place was packed with young and old, It is the theatre event of the season…don’t miss Tim Oberholzer in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. You will regret it…”
- Alvina Ruprecht – Capital Critics Circle
“Tim Oberholzer as Hedwig, the title character in the rock opera about a transgendered person whose life and sex change surgery have both gone horribly wrong, is nothing short of extraordinary.”
- Patrick Langston – Capital Critics Circle
“This is a rocking good show that exceeded my expectations, delighted my guest, and had the audience singing, clapping and waving their hands. I’m usually very sparing in my ovations, but I stood with the rest of the audience in appreciation.”
- Brian Carroll, Apt. 613
“Had Oberholzer not cut off the applause to make an announcement at the end of the show, I believe it would have kept going all night - or at least until the band caved in and played us some more fantastic music. Hedwig and the Angry Inch is campy fun with a heart.”
- Valerie Cardinal, Onstage Ottawa
"From the moment that Hedwig, played by Tim Oberholzer, appears on stage, the crowd is sucked in by an overwhelming electricity that immediately manifests itself by tapping feet and bopping heads. "
- Sonia Blanchette, The Charlebois Post
