Well Ottawa this Saturday marks the end of an era. It is with a heavy heart that I announce this will be the last Saturday that Flamingo will be open as a gay destination in Ottawa.
We have had many great events and a whole lot of amazing memories since we opened in 2011 but the time has come to go in a different direction. You can expect some news about my plans to bring something new and fresh to Ottawa in the next couple of weeks but in the meantime we will close in true Flamingo fashion with one hell of a party this Saturday.
It was a no-brainer for me to bring back Ashley Gauthier for our last Saturday. Ashley was our first resident DJ and the architect behind the famous Flamingo sound system and I know that he is going to deliver a set like no other to help us close out this room.
Door will open at 10:30 PM and drinks will be $4.00 across the board all night. Don't wait to long to get in because we will definitely be at capacity for our last horrah.
I would like to personally thank all of the wonderful staff, artists and community that supported us throughout the last year and I am so grateful for the memories and amazing experiences. Although Flamingo will be part of our history books, I am not going anywhere and I have some really exciting news for Ottawa so stay tuned......
