Centretown Pub (Closed Permanently)

(36 Ratings)
Relaxed pub atmosphere with 30+ year old gay male, leather/bear scene
Laid-back, somewhat cruisy multi-level bar. Popular front and back patios during summer after work and on weekends. Drag shows on top level on Fridays; DJ on Saturdays for dancing; Sunday happy hour very crowded. Leather night every 2nd Saturday.

Address
340 Somerset Street West
Ottawa, ON

Near: Between Bank and O'Connor Streets

Great atmosphere, friendly staff!

I recently took a road trip and happen to find myself in Ottawa for a night. It was a Friday so I decided to hit the town and fell into this place. It was a great happenstance! The staff were chatty and really kind. The fella working bar downstairs as well as the guy on the main floor bar were both very accommodating to my friend and I. The clientelle was a mix of younger and older, and they all seemed to intermingle quite well. There was no segregation based on age which, at 23 years old, is a great concept to me. 10/10 loved the place and if I'm ever back in Ottawa, I WILL be stopping in first chance. Cheers to this establishment!

Tired, boring

Somewhat disappointing pub, considering how busy it gets on Saturdays. The decor is worn and tired and the crowd consists of the same faces, week in, week out. And whatever the frack goes on upstairs isnt much prettier. It's a shame that a city the size of Ottawa, with a significant gay population, cant do much better than this.

CP

Place to be in Ottawa and meet people. Lots of variety but mostly only busy on weekends.
